Summary/Abstract

This paper offers a critique of Australian CCS legislation from a Canadian perspective and identifies what Canadian regulators and companies can learn from the Australian approach. The paper is divided into two Parts. Part One provides a description and analysis of the Australian regulatory and legislative proposals. Part Two offers a critique of the legislation from a Canadian perspective. Here the paper tries to identify what Canadian regulators and companies can learn from the Australian approach and where we might be more reluctant to follow.
