Summary/Abstract

This article covers potential challenges and solutions for CCS on such topics as the acquisition of property rights; permitting at both the federal and the state levels; and identification, reduction and transfer of operational and post-operational liabilities. The authors have sought to cover existing principles and anticipated trends with respect to CCS throughout the United States, in general, and with particular reference to the State of Texas.
