Summary/Abstract
This testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearing to examine the challenges and opportunities for large-scale carbon management focuses on the Department of Energy’s efforts lower the cost of CCUS, fund the development of new carbon capture and storage technologies and demonstration projects (including through the Clean Coal and Carbon Management Program), and explore innovative ways to convert carbon dioxide and “carbon ore” into value-added products.
