Summary/Abstract
The amendment, which was passed on 29 February 2024, amends Section 40-11 of the Utah Code. The amendment establishes an expendable special revenue fund, known as the “Carbon Dioxide Storage Fund.” The fund consists of money from fees collected, penalties imposed and interest or other earnings, and the money would largely be used for regulatory expenses and repair, monitoring and other compliance and enforcement.
