Harvard University Pledge

2020
Declaration
Carbon Dioxide Removal
Visit Website

Summary/Abstract

The University’s endowment will become greenhouse-gas neutral by 2050 by reducing and offsetting emissions with investment in technologies that remove carbon from the atmosphere. This commitment is not the same as fossil-fuel divestment; instead, “carbon neutrality” means reaching a “net zero” carbon footprint through a combination of the above activities.
