Summary/Abstract

This report summarizes the latest information on U.S. anthropogenic greenhouse gas emission trends from 1990 through 2018. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prepares the official U.S. Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks to comply with existing commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The report presents carbon sequestration data from the Land Use, Land-Use change, and Forestry (LULUCF) sector. The report also details the quantity of carbon dioxide captured and extracted for enhanced oil recovery operations.
