Summary/Abstract

Provides permitting procedures and requirements for geologic storage of carbon dioxide, including environmental mandates, financial responsibility, recordkeeping and reporting. These regulations and the “Carbon Dioxide and Underground Storage” statutes formed the basis of EPA’s approval on April 24, 2018 of North Dakota’s state-administered Class VI underground injection control program.
