Summary/Abstract

This paper examines ways to sequester carbon in landscapes and through emerging technologies, identifying key challenges, research needs, and policy priorities in line with this vision. The paper focuses primarily on how natural climate solutions could be deployed and contribute to emissions reduction goals in the United States and seeks to provide climate and energy policy experts with a useful overview of how negative emissions can be incorporated into national climate policy.
