Summary/Abstract

This policy brief specifies the governance challenges around Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to carbon dioxide removal (CDR) including techniques such as large-scale planting of forests, replacing previously lost forests, and restoring wetlands. The brief identifies how NBS for CDR create longer term governance challenges around how to maintain gains over time.
