Summary/Abstract
This bill would amend the National and Community Service Act of 1990 to establish a Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) to help communities respond to climate change, transition to clean economies, and boost local climate jobs. The bill includes provisions on labor standards to create an equitable CCC including fair compensation, grants to cover student loans, career pathways, and priority to environmental justice (EJ) communities.
