Summary/Abstract

This report focuses on the global NETs literature most relevant to Ireland, and on the existing Irish literature on land-use, bioenergy and conventional, fossil-fuel, carbon capture and storage (FFCCS) most applicable to the domestic development of substantive negative emissions to enable climate mitigation aligned with Paris ambition. The aim is to give a preliminary evaluation of the feasibility, timescale, capacity (both stock and flow) and indicative costs (capital and recurrent) of negative emissions technology deployment, both globally and specifically in Ireland.
