Summary/Abstract
This testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change on “Clearing the Air: Legislation to Promote Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage” identifies how the USE IT Act can accelerate the development and deployment of technologies for capturing, transporting, utilizing, and sequestering carbon dioxide. This includes both technologies that can capture and remove carbon dioxide from the exhaust gases of large emissions sources, such as power plants and factories, as well as technologies that can capture and remove carbon dioxide from the ambient air.
