Summary/Abstract

This article explores why nation states need to incentivize negative emissions technologies if they are to take the decarbonization of whole energy systems seriously. This incentivisation must account for public values and interests in which technologies to incentivise, how they should be incentivised and how they should be governed once incentivised.
